Westcon-Comstor expands Broadcom Symantec partnership to ANZ, SE Asia

Westcon-Comstor has announced that its role as exclusive aggregator for Broadcom’s Symantec cybersecurity portfolio has been extended from North Asia into Southeast Asia, Australia and New Zealand.

The deal has also been expanded from the small and medium-sized business (SMB) segment to include channel partners serving the corporate customer segment as well.

The expansion comes two years after Westcon-Comstor was made the sole Symantec cybersecurity aggregator for the SMB segment in the North Asian markets of China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Macau, Korea and Mongolia.

“We’re excited to expand our role as sole aggregator for the Symantec cybersecurity portfolio in terms of both geographic reach and customer profile,” said Patrick Aronson, CMO and APAC Executive VP at Westcon-Comstor.

“Asia-Pacific has long been a market where Symantec has enjoyed commercial success and strong brand recognition."

"This new agreement means we are committing to a regional partnership, leveraging Symantec’s innovative solutions and providing a platform for accelerated growth for cybersecurity channel partners across APAC.”

During the two-year collaboration in North Asia, Westcon has onboarded 1,700 transacting cybersecurity partners for Symantec in North Asia.

Those partners have not only driven a strong renewal motion but have grown Broadcom’s Symantec net-new business by more than 20 each year.

“It’s exciting to be building on the success of our exclusive collaboration with Westcon-Comstor in North Asia by expanding it across APAC,” said Cynthia Loyd, VP of global enterprise, partner and commercial sales for Broadcom.

“Westcon-Comstor’s expertise in cybersecurity, unparalleled channel reach across the region and deep understanding of our offering makes it the ideal aggregation and distribution partner for us."

"Together, we will bring the Symantec portfolio to a wider audience, creating new revenue opportunities for channel partners and enabling end-user customers to stay protected amid constantly evolving and increasingly complex security threats.”
