Amber Technology has signed Westan to distribute a range of display products for the IT market including projectors and audio visual accessories.
Under the agreement, Westan will distribute Optoma projectors, lumens document cameras, Ambertec screens, ceiling brackets and a number of other audio visual accessories.
Rod Sommerich, display products manager at Amber said the agreement would see Westan distribute products targeted specifically targeted at the IT channel.
“We don’t have a recognisable presence in the IT channel and we don’t have accounts set up with [IT] dealers. When we go to an IT dealer we have to go through the company’s history, however Westan already have accounts in place with these guys,” he said.
Kamill Aghtan (pictured), executive director at Westan said the range of accessories will provide its resellers partners with a single source supply for corporate and SOHO products.
“The partnership decision was made due to good growth in Westan Australia’s Audio Visual product lines. Our resellers now have a broader choice and protection against market inflections, such as stock shortages or pricing.”
Amber signed on Tecksel to market its range of Optoma projectors to the IT reseller channel in June.
