Westan Australia has purchased Doro Australia, a subsidiary of Doro AB of Sweden for an undisclosed sum.
Doro supplies telephony products to both retail and specialist channels, as part of the transaction Westan Australia will be appointed as exclusive distributor for the full range of Doro Products in A/NZ.
Kamil Aghtan, executive director at Westan said this gives the distributor an opportunity to enter the retail market.
“Westan will also be able to provide service level required by Doro’s customers. There is the added benefit that Westan will be able to provide other products into Doro’s markets globally,” he said.
Tim Mabley, representing Doro AB believes the acquisition won’t cause the least possible disruptions to the company and it will be business as usual.
“Westan will continue to develop the Australian Doro market and also be able to introduce new products into that channel either under Doro brand or their own brands,” he said.
