Avnet, which became a Websense distributor earlier this year, will assist in delivering and managing the training program for security technologies and guide participants through product installation, configuration and operation.
There will be two certification courses, one in web security and another in messaging security and training is held over a two-day course.
Training will start in November with dates and locations to be confirmed.
”Websense is committed to building a strong reseller channel and an end user customer base that can harness the entire rich functionality of the Websense product for their own business benefit,” said Daniel Crnkovich, alliance partner manager, Websense.
“As a result, training and certification are a critical component for ensuring our own ongoing momentum in Australia and New Zealand and Avnet is a natural partner, with its strong skills set and experience, to deliver on the ground support.
“We know we’ll be able to count on their team to deliver best practice training and certification methodology,” he added.
Participation and certification in the courses form part of the Websense Channel Connect Global Partner Program.
“We are looking forward to extending our training capabilities to the Websense team and business partners,” said Gavin Lawless, general manager, Avnet Technology Solutions Australia.
