WebCentral hires COO

Growth continues at web and application hoster WebCentral, with the creation of a new COO role.

The company has poached former Citec and Volante staffer, Mark Rainbird, to oversee the strategic operations of the company’s Business and Consumer, Corporate, Enterprise and Wholesale divisions.

WebCentral CEO Andrew Spicer said that Rainbird’s experience in strategic management and the delivery of managed services would aid in hitting growing revenues.

His experience in undertaking acquisitions, building strong customer relationships and adapting management reporting frameworks was also valuable, according to a statement from WebCentral.
