WatchGuard Technologies has announced what it claims is an industry first in providing true wired and wireless network security integration through a single appliance.
The vendor's latest Fireware 11.9 update adds wireless functionality, allowing a unified Web interface for managing and monitoring an entire network in real time.
The update is for WatchGuard's UTM and next-gen firewall appliances, allowing users to deploy, configure and manage both wired and wireless network security through one appliance.
The update will save customers time and money by allowing them to consolidate management and security around their wired and wireless networks, said vice president of corporate and product strategy, Dave R. Taylor.
