Network security vendor WatchGuard Technologies has appointed Kyocera Australia as its second platinum partner in Australia and New Zealand (ANZ).

The recognition will see Kyocera offer WatchGuard's Firebox firewall as a complement to its printer device business, including the Firebox T-25W SD-WAN and the Firebox T-45CW.

The company achieved platinum partner status after completing a WatchGuard certification.

“Kyocera is committed to managing our products and services with the most advanced security technologies possible for our customers," said Mark Vella, head of marketing and business planning at Kyocera Australia.

"We take the security of our customer’s information extremely seriously and understand that in today’s rapidly evolving business environment, we must provide the most rewarding customer experiences that are second to none in the industry."

“Partnering with WatchGuard Technologies will ensure that customers will have additional confidence and peace of mind to move their documents securely and conduct seamless digital business operations with leading firewall technology.”

WatchGuard's partner program offers three levels of partnership – silver, gold and platinum – to provide flexibility based on partner commitment.

As a platinum partner, Kyocera will have a dedicated WatchGuard executive sponsor and can attend an on-site visit with the company for integration, marketing and sales planning.

“We have a great relationship with Kyocera in Japan and are excited to mirror this relationship in Australia while at the same time tapping into the digital business skills and experience of the company and its Huon IT expert managed services and cybersecurity organisation," said Anthony Daniel, regional director for ANZ and Pacific islands at WatchGuard.

“The partnership presents unmatched synergies both from a channel alliance perspective, but also from their solutions capability coupled with Kyocera’s reach across Australian and New Zealand business.”
