IT solutions provider, Leading Solutions, won overall honours as "National Partner of the Year for 2009" for the third year in a row.  

The WatchGuard "Expert Partners of The Year For 2009" awards were scooped by Darwin-based Territory Technology Solutions in the Northern Region for the second year in a row and Melbourne-based Murdoch Webster Technology Group for the Southern Region.

Ballarat-based B&D Technologies won "Professional Partner of the Year Award" for WatchGuard's Southern Region while Sydney-based Systemnet scored the same award for the company's Northern Region.

"Fastest Growing Partner of the Year" was provided to Sydney-based Netforce in the Northern Region and Perth-based Silverfern IT in the Southern Region.  

"Leading Solutions has been a long time partner of WatchGuard and it's pleasing to close out another strong year in our relationship," said Scott Robertson, regional director A/ NZ WatchGuard.

Around 100 people from about 30 partner organisations attended the awards in Sydney and Melbourne, which featured Olympics-themed events including putt put golf, quoits, darts and wine tasting.

Recognition was based on licence sales,maintenance deals, those who create successful customer relationships through the delivery of WatchGuard-based solutions for the financial year end June 30, 2009.

"Over the past year, our Australian partners have reached many successful milestones and emerged as stand out leaders in the overall security market offering giving WatchGuard users new and better options to protect their networks and critical assets from the risks of cyber attacks," said Robertson.  

"At the same time, they have put together exceptional teams that are focused on exceeding the market expectations around product support and customer satisfaction and we are delighted to recognise their achievements."

WatchGuard works with partners through the WatchGuard Secure Partner Program providing the software, training, support and services which partners need to achieve outstanding results in their particular markets and areas of specialisation.

"Over the past year, we've extended our innovation beyond our firewall solutions and into the realm of Extensible Threat Management," added Robertson.

"These awards are indicative of WatchGuard Australia's commitment to firmly support our partners' innovation and further exemplifies our continued momentum in the network security market," he added.
