Watch out Galaxy Note 3: the LG G Pro 2 is official

After months of leaks and rumours LG has finally uncaged the G Pro 2, and it's specced to match its fiercest rival, the Samsung Galaxy Note 3.

Armed with a 5.9in full HD IPS display and powered by a 2.26GHz quad-core Snapdragon processor and 3GB of RAM, the G Pro 2 will also land with a large removable 3,200mAh battery.

A 13MP camera with enhanced optical image stabilisation (OIS+) also graces the G Pro 2's spec sheet, and unlike its smaller G2 brother, it can shoot 4K video along with slow motion 1080p video at 120fps.

It will run Android 4.4 KitKat with a few LG tweaks layered on top, some of which sound genuinely useful.

Taking the 'KnockOn' screen of the G2 even further, the G Pro 2 features a new Knock Code trick which lets you unlock it by tapping on different parts of the screen, with 86,000 different combinations to keep thieves guessing.

The G Pro 2 also has a 1W speaker which LG tells us is 20 percent louder than before, as well a built-in tool to shrink down the display to between 3.4 to 4.7 inches for easy one-handed use.

The only thing we don't know about the G Pro 2 is its price and release date, but we expect more information from Mobile World Congress in Barcelona.
