Western Australia Police Force is inviting companies to tender for the supply of Axis Communications surveillance equipment as part of an initiative to expand its video monitoring capabilities.
The tender requires suppliers to be registered Gold Partners or distributors for Axis Communications, a Swedish manufacturer specialising in network cameras and other security devices.
WA Police aims to create a standing supply arrangement with one or more qualified suppliers who can provide Axis branded open-platform internet protocol-based products for video surveillance, analytics, access control, intercoms and audio systems.
The contract includes technical consultation for end-to-end solutions, with products to be supplied on an as-needed basis to the Radio and Electronic Services (RES) division in Maylands.
Suppliers must demonstrate "a high standard of technical IT solutions, CCTV and related product knowledge" to support WA Police requirements and deployments, according to the tender documents.
Knowledge of automatic number plate recognition (ANPR) installations in various environments is specifically mentioned as a key requirement, along with the ability to provide links to Local Government Authority infrastructure through existing relationships with state government agencies.
The tender states that suppliers "must offer new technology and regularly share the results of their own testing or deployments" with WA Police.
Potential contractors will need to pass integrity checks conducted by WA Police and may be required to install, commission and provide acceptance testing of the supplied products.
The arrangement includes a defects liability period of one year after supply completion, with contractors responsible for rectifying any errors or non-conformities during this period.
Delivery is expected in 2025, with the exact timeline to be finalised after the award of the contract.
Deadline for the tender is April 29 this year.
