Vodafone targets SMBs with Office 365, Google Apps

Vodafone is targeting small and medium businesses with two new products aimed at mobilising the workforce.

Ready Business Apps allows businesses to manage their productivity application subscriptions through a single online portal. Available software includes Office 365, Dropbox for Business, Xero, MozyPro and Norton Small Business.

Google Apps for Work and GoDaddy will also be available in mid-June.

Businesses with ten or more seats will have a dedicated account manager. Customers will also receive two free months of Dropbox, Norton, Xero and GoDaddy’s website builder.

Vodafone executive general manager for enterprise business Stuart Kelly said mobilising businesses was a “huge challenge”.

“Many companies see the value in truly mobilising their workforces, yet many are faced with the difficulty of making information accessible to employees across different teams, functions, and devices,” said Kelly.

“We recognise that businesses need a simple way to capitalise on mobile technology and manage these solutions securely and quickly, and this is where we believe Vodafone can help.”

Vodafone also revealed a set of new mobile plans dubbed Business Flex.

The plans range from $30 to $150 and all include unlimited calls and text. The customer organisation can share inclusions among employees.

“We recognise that many Australian businesses are paying for inclusions they neither want nor need. Business Flex offers an alternative which means businesses only pay for the essentials and can purchase add-ons as they see fit,” said Kelly.

“Businesses right across the country, from café owners, retailers and small manufacturers, have told us that they are spending good money on outcomes that don’t work for their business. We have heard that many businesses are disappointed and fed up with the overall value and service they are receiving from their current provider.”
