Vodafone launched a suite of NBN products, offered with a backup 4G internet service.
The products are now available to order online, over the phone, or in 78 stores across Sydney, Canberra, Melbourne, Geelong and Newcastle.
“We are very excited to launch Vodafone NBN to complement our mobile network, allowing customers to be always connected, whether it’s at home, at work or on the go,” Vodafone Australia chief executive Iñaki Berroeta said.
“From the outset, we want our customers to connect to the NBN with confidence, and we have set clear standards for ourselves and the industry to achieve this.”
Customers will be connected to the Vodafone mobile network for up to 30 days while NBN is being connected or when there is line repair.
Vodafone general manager of broadband services Matthew Lobb said the company took customer feedback into consideration, particularly from those who trialled Vodafone’s NBN.
“Our customers told us they loved being connected to the internet from day one via our mobile network while they waited for their NBN installation,” Lobb said.
“Based on feedback from our trial customers, we have automated the 4G Back Up service so customers will not have to contact us if they experience an issue with their NBN connection.”
The company will be offering three months free for eligible customers connecting to 24-month plans, which start at $70 per month for unlimited broadband.
