Digital telecommunications provider Superloop has entered a 15-year, $20 million agreement with Vocus to upscale its ethernet and fibre capacity across Australian metropolitan and regional areas.
The deal sees Superloop gain international, intercapital, regional ethernet and metropolitan fibre capacity across the country in partnership with Vocus.
The deal also allows Superloop to enter cost-effective agreements from its BigAir acquisition and provide a platform for the delivery of scalable services in Australia as part of the Superloop pan-Asian network.
The indefeasible rights of use (IRU) agreement, through which both parties are bound and which cannot be annulled, voided or undone, will minimise the requirement for Superloop to to build significant infrastructure to attain cost and network efficiencies in the Australian market.
Superloop owns and operates more than 540km of fibre networks in Australia, Singapore and Hong Kong.
Superloop expects services to come online in July.
