Software solutions provider Blue Medora has opened its first office outside the US and signed an exclusive distribution deal with Ingram Micro.
US-headquartered Blue Medora opened its local office in Melbourne, where it will oversee its Australia and Asia-Pacific operations.
The company has been in Australia for the past 10 months with Craig Stockdale as managing director for the APJ region and Steven Madden as the technical director.
Blue Medora's develops and distributes product extensions for VMware vRealize Operations, Oracle Enterprise Manager, and IBM Application Performance Management.
Ingram Micro was chosen for its strong global focus on cloud solutions, according to Stockdale.
"We are setting up a channel that gives us access not only to tier 1 partners but also to specialist resellers under the Ingram banner," Stockdale said.
VMware is currently promoting Blue Medora's product catalogue through its global channels and with Ingram Micro's subsidiary Promark Technology in the US.
"The unified business intelligence and data analytics capabilities delivered by VMware’s vRealize and Blue Medora’s plugins allow customers to standardise and automate resource management across hybrid cloud environments.
"However, to maximise the benefits available with our software, ideally you require a strong reseller channel with the necessary skills for integration. Ingram has both the in-house expertise and the specialist channel partners to help their government and enterprise customers reap these very real operational rewards in a virtualised infrastructure environment," Stockdale added.
"Our goal is to support all relevant platforms and we will soon be releasing a series of monitoring and management plugins specifically for the Amazon AWS environment."
