Adelaide managed services provider Vintek will acquired Sydney-based Citrix specialist MSP Regal IT, as it pushes to grow into a national IT company.
Vintek chief executive Paul Vinton said the Citrix skills brought by Regal IT would bolster both Vintek and its nationwide data centre business, Intervolve. Regal IT director Mark Gluckman will become part of the a national strategic leadership team as the company transfers to Vintek.
The deal will add a “significant” Sydney presence for the Vintek group and allow the company to add enterprise remote access services to its pool of offerings.
“It is all part of our strategic plan to be a $100 million business within five years,” Vinton said.
The acquisition follows Vintek’s 2016 purchase of Intervolve, which operates from within seven data centre locations across Australia, and caps off a 2017 in which the company was awarded Fortinet’s partner of the year award.
“We certainly don’t want to sit still,” Vinton said. “It’s imperative that we continue to innovate and grow with a combination of natural growth and strategic acquisitions.
“I think there is more coming with possibly Perth and Melbourne next and we have some exciting announcements about international expansions in January."
