Enterprise-focused AI and extended reality solutions provider Vection Technologies has won a $1 million contract from an unnamed client in the defence industry.
Deployment begins immediately, with half of the contract value to be recognised as revenue in FY25, and the remaining portion to be accounted for in the first half of FY26, subject to the achievement of delivery milestones.
The contract focuses on a secure ICT solution that strengthens cyber and data protection layers for national security intelligence.
The order builds upon previous contracts with the same client in the defence sector, a technology service provider focused on cybersecurity and infrastructure security solutions for law enforcement, government agencies, and security agencies.
The relationship first began in May 2024, with the awarding of a contract valued at just over $2m to provide an ICT solution that strengthens cyber and data security.
Subsequent deals between Vection and the client saw a $0.5m cybersecurity-focused ICT endpoints contract awarded in December of 2024, a $1.8 million contract delivering an AI-driven ICT endpoints and extended reality (XR) solution won in January 2025 and a $4m extension of a previously awarded contract, with an expanded scope focusing on large-scale, distributed infrastructure design that enables real-time data processing and analysis, revealed in February.
Vection Technologies MD Gianmarco Biagi said securing another competitive tender from this strategic customer reinforces the trust it has built since FY23.
"As criminal networks become increasingly agile, agencies require XR-powered, AI-ready workflows capable of transforming large volumes of data into timely decisions," he said.
"This is exactly what INTEGRATEDXR delivers, and we view this outcome as a launchpad for even broader applications in defence and public safety."
