350 of the channel’s top players gathered at Sydney’s Shangri-La Hotel to network, receive a diverse range of awards and raise $70,000 for the worthy cause of the Cancer Council of Australia.
A combination of a silent auction and a hugely animated live auction achieved the massive total. Top selling items included a Rolling Stones signed Fender Electric Guitar, a Roger Federer signed tennis racket, and a Jack Nicklaus signed US Masters Pin Flag.
15 awards were handed out on the night to a broad range of vendors and distributors. Winner of overall distributor of the year was Express Data, while HP took home vendor of the year.
The first ever CRN Channel Champion awards went to Wayne Small at reseller Correct Solutions and Michael Costigan at distributor Avnet.
