Trend Micro has announced it has successfully completed the Information Security Registered Assessors Program (IRAP) at Protected level for its Vision One platform.
The certification enables Australian government agencies with the Protected level requirement to use the platform, and comes as the latest in a series of global assessments including the US government's FEDRAMP, SOCI2 and NIST.
Trend Micro received certification via an assessment by an independent third-party.
“With this successful completion of the IRAP assessment at Protected level, we are proud to be able to extend our expertise and solutions further, to support the ongoing protection of the Australian public sector and critical infrastructure providers,” said Srujan Talakokkula, ANZ managing director for commercial at Trend Micro.
“Today, as we are seeing many Australian government agencies not only turn to a ‘cloud-first strategy’ but start to embrace AI capabilities, it's more important than ever to match that with a comprehensive end-to-end cybersecurity strategy."
"The Trend Micro Vision One Platform not only provides this, but it also offers critical senior intel such as Cybersecurity Risk score, allowing real-time awareness of the environment's risk and security posture.”
Trend Micro said its Vision One Platform offers attack surface risk management, cross-layer protection across hybrid environments and extended detection and response capabilities.
The platform uses generative AI and is backed by Trend Micro's Global Threat Intelligence and Expert Managed Services capabilities.
“This is a huge opportunity for our customers as we take them on their cloud journey from on-premise, to public, sovereign and even protected cloud environments,” said Martyn Beal, ANZ federal government strategic lead for commercial at Trend Micro.
“We’re excited to see the possibilities this brings as we further contribute to building a safe and secure Australian government.”
