Australian data encryption vendor Senetas has launched a secure file sharing service aimed at US defence and Australian government customers.
SureDrop combines "defence-grade' security with "everything you would expect from a file sharing service like a drop box".
Three features make it "the most secure file sharing service", according to the vendor: client-side encryption key hosting and management tools, so only the IT department has access to keys; AES 256-bit keys, an encryption algorithm used by the US government; and file fragmentation, with files randomly stored with keys on the client-side.

According to a company statement, Senetas provides the world's only triple-certified encryptors of its type with Common Criteria (Australia and international) FIPS (US) and CAPS (UK) certification for government and defence use.
SureDrop is priced at $15 a month per user for SMEs up to 100 staff, and $6,999 per month including volume discounts for government and enterprises up to 1000 staff.
In April last year, Senetas partnered with UXC to develop a security solution that incorporates defence-grade encryptors with UXC’s end-to-end ICT services.
