Home entertainment chain JB Hi-Fi looks to be the target of a Melbourne crime-wave after a seventh store was robbed.
Three unidentified men broke into JB's Werribee store in Victoria last Tuesday, stealing a range of smartphones and computer equipment, particularly Apple iPhones, iPads and iPods.
The men smashed glass cabinets and stole "a large amount" of products before fleeing in a getaway car at 1:50 am.
The Werribee police station said it could not reveal details to CRN for fear of jeopardising the ongoing investigation.
JB Hi-Fi could not provide a comment at the time of publication.
The Werribee store was the seventh JB Hi-Fi store in Melbourne to be broken into, according to Yahoo.
CRN reported in August a similar break-in at JB Hi-Fi's Ballarat store where thieves raided $40,000 in Apple products and computer equipment.
Police authorities at the time said they were investigating whether or not it was linked to previous break-ins.
Anyone with information about the burglary is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or visit www.crimestoppers.com.au.
