Thieves raid JB Hi-Fi

Three offenders "jimmied open" a JB Hi-Fi store in Ballarat, Victoria and stole $40,000 worth of Apple products.

Detective sergeant Kevin Carson told CRN that video footage recorded the offenders breaking in at 2.20am.

"They grabbed all the iPads and iPhones, put them in a doona cover and took off in a small black sedan."

Carson estimates the entire robbery took just three minutes.

This is the fourth JB Hi Fi store in Melbourne to be targeted. Victorian police are currently investigating if this incident is related to the other break-ins.

"We haven’t had anything else like that in happen in Ballarat, but we're looking at some other burglaries that happened in the metropolitan area.

"There might be three or four other JB Hi-Fi stores [that were broken into]. We're still in the process of determining if they're related."
