Security vendor Tenable has appointed Scott Magill as its new country manager for Australia and New Zealand.
Magill brings more than 25 years of IT and cybersecurity experience to the role, having previously held key leadership positions Rubrik, where he served as regional vice president for ANZ, and before that as regional director at AppDynamics.
Magill will lead Tenable's operations and strategy in the region, focusing on business growth and strengthening channel partnerships.
Tenable is seeking to accelerate the expansion of its cloud capabilities and exposure management platform, which helps organisations identify and remediate security gaps caused by misconfigurations, risky vulnerabilities and entitlements.
"Cloud is the fastest-growing challenge for Australian organisations, and Scott's deep expertise in enterprise security will be instrumental in supporting our customers through this evolving landscape," Nigel Ng, senior vice president of Tenable Asia Pacific and Japan, said.
"Under Scott's leadership, we will continue to build strong, meaningful relationships with our customers, helping them gain full visibility across their attack surface to cover everything from cloud to identity vulnerabilities, and traditional IT to operational technology environments."
"I've closely followed Tenable's strategic growth in exposure management, and it's clear the company is setting the pace in proactive security, exemplified by its recent acquisition of Vulcan Cyber," Magill said.
"Expanding visibility across IT and OT environments by incorporating third-party data is a game-changer for cybersecurity teams."
