Telstra’s product lead Christian von Reventlow is leaving the telco after 13 months to return home to his family.
He’ll be replaced by Kim Krogh Andersen, currently senior vice president of Scandinavian telco Telenor Group.
von Reventlow joined Telstra in September 2018 to take on responsibility for the telco’s product and technology roadmap, as well as explore opportunities in AI, IoT, AR, digital twins and edge computing. Telstra CEO Andy Penn said von Reventlow’s family had intended to join him in Australia, but that did no eventuate, hence his departure.
Krogh Andersen will take on the same responsibilities as Telstra’s group executive, product & technology, taking ownership of the company’s technology roadmap and creating solutions for all customers.
During his time at Telenor, Krogh Andersen was responsible for the telco’s global technology roadmaps in Scandinavia and Asia, and led its global 5G program.
“Mr Krogh Andersen is a standout replacement for Mr von Reventlow,” said Penn. “He has run telco networks end to end and had responsibility for developing the technology and products those networks carry.”
“He joins us at a critical time in our T22 strategy execution. We are looking forward to him leading our product and technology team as we build momentum in providing industry-leading experiences for our customers and pursue our ambition to grow our share of revenues across segments and industries.”
