According to Telarus, its latest offerings, Home DSL Plus and Business DSL Plus, will provide end users with the fastest service available for any given site using ADSL2+.
This gutsy challenge to telecommunications giants such as Telstra and Optus is being implemented through the channel via a “hands-off approach”; however Telarus has offered its sales team to resellers facing difficulties selling the solution.
“Depending on a resellers capabilities … we can do the heavy lifting, identify customer needs and close the deal,” said Jules Rumsey, managing director of Telarus. “But it is effectively up to the reseller, we just offer a service.”
With the channel partner program representing 50 percent of total sales, the vendor has strategically released the range at a time when there is pent-up demand, explains Rumsey.
“We have been mindful of the feedback package and have tailored something well-suited to the channel,” he said.
The vendor is wary of making across-the-board claims regarding actual speed because external factors, such as infrastructure, play a significant role.
“The actual speed that a customer will receive will be the maximum possible given factors such as the distance to their local exchange, the quality of the copper access to their premises and sources of interference,” said Rumsey.
Looking into the future, Telarus is finalising a voice-overwrite platform whereby customers can switch calls out to the greater voice network. The vendor is also launching Telarus mobile with data capabilities.
