Under the agreement, Telarus will design, deploy and manage solutions based on Aruba’s complete range of mobility controllers and access points for the enterprise, government, education and SME sectors.
Jules Rumsey, managing director at Telarus said Aruba’s secure mobility solutions and user-centric networks will enable Telarus to help its customers attain true wireless mobility across their business, while maintaining application performance and a high level of security.
Rumsey said it took around 3-6 months for Telarus to review the offering from Aruba and ultimately sign the agreement.
“This time allowed us to satisfy ourselves that Aruba has a best-of-breed product offering that we can recommend to our clients and channel partners,” he said.
Rumsey told CRN that while most of its channel partners have tended to buy equipment directly from distributors where they are intending to make it a regular part of their offering.
“That said, whilst Telarus is not a distributor, if our channel partners want or need us to source equipment on their behalf, we are happy to do so and will provide a commission on the sale,” he said.
According to Rumsey the enterprise wireless space is starting to heat up and dual-mode handsets that can offer seamless handover from 3G mobile to WiFi VoIP are becoming a reality.
“Together, with our recent agreements with Zultys and Mitel for VoIP phone systems, and our forthcoming VoIP Gateway offering, this agreement with Aruba demonstrates that we are a leader in providing next generation communications technologies,” he said.
