Synology has showcased at Sydney's Security Exhibition & Conference 2024, exhibiting its latest on-premise and cloud surveillance solutions that are designed to meet the evolving security needs of modern businesses.
The Taiwanese company said it has recognised the exponential growth in the surveillance market in Australia, especially the demand for scalable storage and artificial intelligence-integrated applications.
The company showcased three key areas:
AI-powered surveillance solutions: Synology's systems combine on-camera and server-based AI capabilities to provide timely and accurate alerts.
Features include intrusion detection, instant search, licence plate and facial recognition, aimed at improving threat identification and operational efficiency.
Scalable surveillance systems: The exhibition will feature a range of enterprise-grade storage servers, from small units for branch offices to large-capacity servers for headquarters.
These solutions support long-term recording and multi-site monitoring, with the Centralised Management System (CMS) software capable of managing up to 10,000 cameras across 1000 sites.
Direct-to-cloud video surveillance as a service: Synology previewed its upcoming C2 Surveillance Station and companion C2 cameras.
This cloud-based solution aims to simplify deployment in challenging environments where local recording servers are impractical.
"Since the launch of Surveillance Station in 2009, Synology has protected physical assets at over 515,000 sites across industries worldwide," Joshua Orren Hermawan, ANZ country manager of Synology, said.
