Synnex has begun distributing Apple's iPad in Australia, the distributor announced today.
The distie steps into the hole left by Express Data, which parted ways with Apple after being acquired by Dicker Data.
Synnex joins Avnet and Ingram Micro as Apple distributors, though Synnex is only supplying the tablet device.
Authorised Apple resellers can start sourcing the iPad via Synnex from today.
Synnex will distribute the Wi-Fi and WiFi + Cellular models of the iPad, iPad Retina, iPad Air and iPad Mini.
The distie will be able to delivery just-in-time in the metro area "within hours" of an iPad order being logged using its fleet of more than 30 trucks.
Synnex claims it will add "more value" to the reseller network through its logistics centres and warehouses in Melbourne, Brisbane, Sydney and Perth.
CEO, Synnex Australia and New Zealand Kee Ong said: “Our team will be working closely with the reseller channel to provide them with a complete solution, optimum service and support. Something we know our customers have come to expect from Synnex and love."
