Synnex Australia has signed up to accept payments from IT financier, Moneytech.
The distributor will join the likes of Dicker Data, Cellnet, iTX and 60 other distributors in accepting reseller payments via Moneytech.
Hugh Evans managing director at Moneytech said Synnex was to date one of the largest distributors to agree to take payment from the financier.
“Our resellers have been requesting we sign with Synnex for quite a while now. There is no reason why they or any other distributor shouldn’t sign us up. We are another form of payment,” he said.
Evans also said the company takes away risk and gets rid of collection worries for distributors.
“It’s still tough for resellers in the IT industry to get credit. We insure off shore and can offer resellers that have already pushed their credit limit, more credit,” he said. “We could even fund $350 million dollars into the channel.”
Evans said Moneytech approached Synnex with a proposal a year ago.
“Once I met with Kee Ong (CEO at Synnex) Australia he made a decision to accept payments within two-three weeks,” he said.
For Synnex, this deal signifies a three party win – one for resellers, Synnex and Moneytech said Kee Ong, CEO at Synnex.
“This agreement will allow us to have a more flexible attitude to support resellers, especially small to medium dealers. From Synnex’s point of view this gives resellers more finance options,” said Ong.
Moneytech has also branched out of IT funding and has also set-up finance options into five other industries including, food and beverage, healthcare industry, florists and adult industry, said Evans.
