Suitebox, the Sydney-developed productivity and communications collaboration app, was named as a platform innovation winner at Oracle’s OpenWorld event in San Francisco this week, for its ingenuitive application of Oracle’s PaaS and IaaS services.

The Sydney company was praised for its innovation in cloud technology and stood on the winners podium alongside major vendors Cisco and Avaya as well as end user organisations Renault, Manchester Airport and  State Bank of India.

Suitebox chief executive Ian Dunbar said being recognised was a testament to the strength of the software as a product with viable applications for business. “I’m delighted that Oracle has recognised Suitebox at such a global and prestigious event.

“Our technology gives you the ability to reach in at any moment and interact with the people that matter most to you and your business; Suitebox wants to partner with professionals around the globe to help achieve this.”

Amit Zavery, Oracle cloud platform and integration products senior vice president, congratulated the cloud company’s customers. “These awards recognise customers that are using Oracle’s PaaS and IaaS together in unique and innovative ways to transform their businesses.

“Over the past couple of years, we’ve seen our customers make a wholesale move in using the cloud for just simple dev-test scenarios to running serious, enterprise workloads in the cloud.”

SuiteBox has recently opened regional offices in Europe, Asia Pacific and Southern Africa, and, in the next month, will be announcing technology enhancements to its platform, as well as major enterprise client partnerships in key markets.
