Australian diversified property group Stockland has partnered with edge data centre provider EdgeConneX to develop, own and operate an Australian portfolio of data centres.
The partnership will combine Stockland’s land, development and project management expertise with EdgeConneX’s global experience in providing data centre solutions to cloud and AI providers.
The parties will also leverage Stockland’s portfolio of assets in major markets across Australia for the development of hyperscale data centres.
Construction commencement is anticipated in FY27.
Further pipeline opportunities are targeted across Stockland’s strategic landholdings, with several sites identified in the prime Sydney and Melbourne markets.
Stockland used its recent H1 FY26 results to reveal that it had 450MW of power secured for data centre development across two sites in Victoria and another in NSW.
EdgeConneX, which is backed by EQT Infrastructure, has a global portfolio of over 80 data centres operating or under development across more than 20 countries.
