According to Sony, the newly redesigned PlayStation Store will bring improved navigation, more functionality and a whole raft of new content.
The revamp comes in response to a survey last year which showed that many users were calling for a better interface and easier navigation of the site.
To accompany the re-launch, the store will also see a new selection of content available from 17 April, consisting of the launch of the Metal Gear Online Premiere Beta, building up to the launch the highly anticipated game Metal gear Solid: Guns of the Patriots.
There will also be upgrade packs for new games, a collection of trailers including the latest for GTA IV and a Sega Superstars tennis demo.
The newly designed site will not affect users' accounts or the virtual wallet system.
