Sony has revealed the Xperia acro S and Xperia go - a duet of durable, water resistant smartphones for users who are looking for a little extra protection for their smartphone.
The PlayStation certified Xperia acro S (above) will serve up Android Ice Cream Sandwich on a 4.3in 720p Bravia display, which is coated in mineral glass for scratch resistance.
Powered by a 1.5Ghz dual-core processor, the Sony Xperia acro S will have a 12MP camera with 1080p video recording, as well as a front facing 720p alternative.
The Xperia acro S' party trick is its ability to survive in up to 1m of water for 30 minutes, though the verdict's still out on the effects of a washing machine spin cycle.
The equally aquatic Sony Xperia go has a 3.5in Bravia display, 5MP camera and 1Ghz of dual-core processing grunt to keep it ticking along, and although it won't be launching with Ice Cream Sandwich, it will be upgradeable in future.
Both the Sony Xperia acro S and Xperia go could be available as early as July, for an as-yet undisclosed price.
