Under the agreement, Avnet would distribute the full range of SonicWall's firewall products including unified threat management, SSL VPNs, email security and data protection to its reseller partners.
Avnet was selected for its depth of experience in the enterprise space, where SonicWall claimed to be growing.
Avnet became SonicWall's third Australian distributor joining Lan 1 and TwentyFourSeven Distribution.
Greg Newham, general manager of distribution for Avnet, said the distributor planned to roll out a program for its reseller partners.
Dean Redman, country manager SonicWall Australia and New Zealand, said the partnership provided mutual growth opportunities for solution providers in Australia.
