He will be responsible for developing and managing all sales, marketing and pre-sales strategies to drive business growth in the enterprise, government and SMB market segments.
Redman has been with SonicWALL since 2008 and was most recently channel manager where he developed and managed SonicWALL's partner programs and partner-solution education.
Richard Ting, vice president SonicWALL Asia Pacific, said Redman has a strong understanding of the company's operations in this region.
"Dean's promotion further underlines SonicWALL's strong focus on enterprise in 2009 with just having announced three additional appointments a couple of weeks ago," he said.
"His extensive experience in enterprise IT and his strong leadership skills will be a major asset as we continue to grow our market share in Australia and New Zealand", said Ting.
Prior to joining SonicWALL, Redman held several senior management roles in the IT industry spanning across 14 years.
He gained extensive knowledge of security and enterprise solutions through working with different industry leaders and resellers providing him the opportunity to attain in-depth Checkpoint, Symantec and Citrix product understanding.
He will be based in North Sydney.
