SolarWinds opens SaaS data centre in Sydney

SolarWinds has opened a new Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) data centre in Sydney, strengthening its cloud infrastructure across the Asia-Pacific and Japan region.

The IT management and observability software provider says the facility will deliver lower latency and improved responsiveness for regional customers while offering local data storage options.

The Sydney data centre joins existing facilities in the Americas and Europe, creating a more comprehensive global infrastructure for the company's cloud-based services.

"We're hearing a growing number of customers seeking solutions that help them meet evolving data regulatory requirements without compromising performance," Bharat Bedi, vice president of Asia-Pacific/Japan at SolarWinds, said.

"With the launch of our new Sydney data centre, we're bringing our cloud services closer to local customers, giving them greater control over where their data resides, all while helping ensure top-tier performance."

The expansion aims to support customers' evolving cloud strategies and digital transformation initiatives by providing multiple cloud region options.

The Sydney data centre will host the company's cloud observability solutions, bringing these services physically closer to regional clients.

In 2023, SolarWinds opened its first Australian IT service management data centre in Sydney.
