Softbank and Macnica directors join video surveillance firm icetana's board

ASX-listed video surveillance vendor icetana has named two new non-executive directors to its board, effective this month.

Kenichi Yoshida, the chief business officer at Softbank Robotics Group, and Masao Ogawaa, director of Macnica's global innovation sourcing department, join the board.

Softbank Robotics took a 17.6 per cent equity stake in Perth headquartered icetana last month, paying $3.6 million.

Japan's Macnica is also a significant shareholder in icetana, with both companies being entitled to nominate one non-executive director to the latter entity's board.

Yoshida comes with a strong background in global business development.

Ogawa has over 20 years of experience in AI-driven image analysis, semiconductors and international business development.

icetana builds self-learning security artificial intelligence software for large-scale surveillance networks.
