Data warehousing vendor Snowflake Computing has appointed Zac Brandt as regional director for Australia.
The newly created role is the top position in Australia, with Brandt reporting into Snowflake APJ vice president Peter O’Connor.
Brandt is tasked with supporting partners and helping push Snowflake’s data warehousing offerings to the Australian public and private sectors.
“We sought to complement our existing skill set here in Australia with a global executive with a successful track record of sales success and we believe Zac will be an excellent addition to the Australian team,” O’Connor said.
“We’re looking forward to the positive impact which Zac’s skills and experience will have on furthering customer success and business momentum.”
Brandt moved to Sydney from the United States, last working for SaaS customer experience management vendor Medallia as director of sales. He also worked in various sales roles at HP, networking vendor Infoblox and EMC.
“Snowflake’s customer-focused culture, coupled with market-leading solutions and strong partner team on the ground in Australia, puts the company in a great position to continue to thrive,” Brandt said.
“This is an incredible combination to be a part of which is why I’m thrilled to join and help drive both customer success and company growth as Snowflake continues to scale and focus its efforts in this part of the world.”
