Local integrator SMS Management & Technology has boosted its consulting business with the acquisition of Melbourne-based Operational Concepts.
SMS will integrate Operational Concepts into its business over the next month and will add 22 staff to the SMS group.
Operational Concepts is a consulting provider specialising in business process architecture, organisational redesign and business improvements services across management and technology domains in Melbourne, Sydney and Canberra.
Tom Stianos, chief executive at SMS, said: “We are pleased to welcome the Operational Concepts team into SMS Consulting as they enhance our consulting expertise and much like SMS, they have an outstanding track record of delivery excellence.”
Stianos said the acquisition also brings to SMS established relationships with key clients, some of which are known to SMS while others are new.
“We have previously partnered with Operational Concepts on business engagements and we are working on several business opportunities within the financial services and infrastructure sectors,” added Stianos.
Jeff Dusting, managing director of Operational Concepts, said: “SMS represents an excellent fit for us and we look forward to combining our capabilities, experience and track record over the coming months.”
