ZipTel has appointed Alun Cooksley as its general manager of retail sales and distribution to expand the channel for its international pre-paid SIM card, AussieSim.
"This is a crucial and exciting appointment for ZipTel as we look to fast track our distribution footprint into retail points of presence throughout Australia for our AussieSim product," ZipTel executive director Keaton Wallace said.
"Alun has an excellent and proven track record in developing relationships and distribution agreements with Australia’s largest retail chains which have resulted in him achieving award winning results."
Cooksley has previously held telecommunication positions, including national sales manager of 3Mobile and Vodafone's general manager of retail partners.
In May ZipTel announced a record number of SIM card sales for AussieSim, with a 330 percent sales increase from the previous May, and last week recommenced trading on the ASX following its successful reverse takeover of Skyward Limited.
