ShoreTel Australia hires exec from takeover candidate Mitel
Mark Harvey

ShoreTel has hired its second executive from rival Mitel, appointing Mark Harvey as its partner business manager.

Harvey was most recently director of strategic alliances for Mitel. He was also channel sales manager for NSW and QLD for over four years.

ShoreTel also hired former channel manager for Mitel subsidiary Aastra, Phil Morgan, as its partner business manager for New Zealand.

“This year, ShoreTel has continued to grow its Australian and New Zealand partner base and, to manage this local expansion, we have appointed additional partner management resources," said ShoreTel ANZ managing director Jamie Romanin.

Last year, ShoreTel rejected a takeover bid from Mitel for US$570 million, which ShoreTel CEO Don Joos said was “highly inadequate”.
