ShoreTel appoints regional chief
Frederic Gillant

VoIP provider ShoreTel has appointed Frederic Gillant as its new vice president and managing director for Asia Pacific.

His role will include overseeing the regional sales teams, including that led by ShoreTel's managing director in Australia and New Zealand, Jamie Romanin.

His goals will be driving sales, expanding the partner ecosystem, developing new business and managing the sales and marketing operations in the region, according to a statement.

Gillant will directly lead sales, channels, marketing and sales and provide local leadership to support ShoreTel’s regional growth plans. He will be based in Singapore and will report directly to senior vice president of worldwide sales, David Petts.

He joins ShoreTel following his role at Orange Business Services as vice president of unified communications and collaboration.

In May CRN reported that Australian resellers would be the first in the world with access to ShoreTel's first "sales-only" channel program, a move that marked a "significant channel revamp" for the company.
