Sapply expands data centre offering with Big Switch Networks

Data centre networking vendor Big Switch Networks has appointed Sapply as its newest Asia-Pacific distributor.

Sapply joins Newgen Systems as the vendor's second distributor in Australia.

The vendor provides automated and programmable fabric based software defined networking (SDN) solutions, with Big Monitoring Fabric and Big Cloud Fabric as its two main products.

Big Monitoring Fabric is a network packet broker (NPB) fabric that enables security and monitoring of data centre and cloud traffic. Big Cloud Fabric meanwhile is a data centre switching fabric for OpenStack clouds, VMware SDDC and container use-cases.

“Having successfully collaborated with Sapply in Singapore for the last two years, we are excited to be able to expand this relationship across the region,” Big Switch Networks managing director Steve Coad said.

“There has been a strong surge in interest in our products and having a strong partner such as Sapply to work with us is important to ensuring we are making the most of the opportunity in this region.”

The company recently added extended support for hyperconverged solutions like VMware vSAN, Dell EMC ScaleIO and Nutanix.

“With the addition of Big Switch Networks to the existing range of network infrastructure products that SAPPLY represents, we are now able to offer even more comprehensive solutions to our client’s needs,” Sapply director Neil Woolley said.

“We are looking forward to offering cutting edge technologies that can transform and add value to a data centres operations.”
