SailPoint completes IRAP assessment

Identity security provider SailPoint said it has successfully completed the Information Security Registered Assessors Program or IRAP.

With the IRAP assessment for the SailPoint Identity Security Cloud completed, Australian government agencies can use the offering to automate discovery, management and control user access to sensitive data, applications and systems.

Users can also easily be verified to check if their access is authorised, secure and compliant. 

The IRAP assessment for Sailpoint was done through a third party assessor, affirming full compliance with the program's PROTECTED level control requirements.

"Given the rise in cyber threats against government networks and critical infrastructure sectors, a modern identity security strategy is crucial to protect classified data," Chern-Yue Boey, SailPoint's senior vice president for Asia-Pacific said.

"SailPoint’s autonomous identity security solution is the foundation for digital modernisation, effectively managing digital identities and defending against security threats," Boey added.

"The IRAP assessment reinforces SailPoint’s expert ability to enable government agencies to manage identity security across cloud environments, protect critical infrastructure, and meet stringent regulatory compliance requirements," he said.

SailPoint has also established a Government Support Desk for Australian agencies, staffed by personnel based in hte country that have been cleared by The Australian Government Security Vetting Agency.
