Sage Software Australia has appointed Steve Orleow as partner development manager to support the accounting and business management software vendor’s Business Solutions group.
Orleow has been appointed to examine Sage’s partner business and establish various programs to help them become more competitive and commercially successful.
Three years ago, and before joining Sage, Orleow came to Australia to establish the local operation of Striata, an electronic billing solution vendor.
Mike Lorge, managing director of Sage Business Solutions, said: “Mid-market customers are, more than ever, seeking flexible end-to-end solutions that can extend and expand, and mix and match, as their businesses grow.
“To service this demand, Sage has followed the creation of the Business Solutions group with this new role specifically designed to help Sage business partners in the region provide tightly tailored solutions for their customers.”
Orleow said: “It’s the opposite of what most vendors do, it’s a really fresh approach. Instead of thinking about how the channel can grow our business, we are focused on developing strategies that help our partners grow their businesses – and Sage will benefit long term from that.”
