RSA unveils passwordless security products to combat AI-powered identity threats

RSA has introduced new cybersecurity products designed to protect organisations against sophisticated AI-powered identity attacks, with enterprise-ready passwordless solutions.

The security firm revealed several products at RSAC Conference 2025, including RSA Help Desk Live Verify, a patent-pending feature that establishes bi-directional identity verification between users and IT staff.

"Passwordless approaches offer tantalizing business benefits like improved user experience and cost savings, but as with any new technology passwordless also introduce new risks into the environment," Rohit Ghai, chief executive officer at RSA, said.

Ghai emphasised that typical passwordless solutions lack adequate protection for high-security organisations such as government agencies and financial institutions.

RSA's strategy is one of approaching passwordless authentication as a comprehensive platform rather than merely a convenient authentication method.

"Organisations need comprehensive, enterprise-grade capabilities that are ready for social engineering, fraud, outages, and deepfakes—and RSA is delivering exactly that," chief product and technology officer Jim Taylor said.

RSA provides passwordless capabilities across cloud, on-premises, hybrid, and legacy systems. The approach aims to ensure continuous authentication access even during internet outages through offline and secure fallback capabilities.

RSA's expanded security toolset now includes RSA Mobile Lock and RSA Risk AI alongside the new Help Desk Live Verify feature to combat sophisticated threats including malware, brute force attacks, phishing, and AI-based man-in-the-middle (AiTM) attacks.
