Network security vendor RSA has appointed Andreas Allesch as channel and alliances manager for Australia and New Zealand.
Appointed to the new position in June, Allesch steps up from the title of channel sales manager, a role he had held since the beginning of 2016. Allesch first joined RSA in 2013 and has worked across sales, channel and enterprise account management for the company.
“My passion for the channel saw me move into a dedicated channel role several years ago with a focus on distribution and the identity access business,” Allesch said. “My understanding of what underpins successful partnership has seen that responsibility grow to now incorporate both alliances and traditional channel partners.”
In the role, Allesch will build out RSA’s alliance partner program in the region, and said he would develop “a customer-centric focus on more strategic initiatives with key partners”.
“Replicating this focus with other strategic partners in RSA’s traditional Securworld program is equally important as RSA seeks to deliver positive business outcomes for customers,” he added.
“RSA is always looking at ways to improve as a channel-friendly vendor, focusing more on the customer and the outcomes that are important to them. This is an exciting opportunity to bring together people, process and technology to achieve just that.”
Allesch's appointment comes as RSA has made another notable investment in Australia. In late August the company launched local hosting for its identity and access management product RSA SecurID Access out of Microsoft's Canberra Azure region, which hosted by Canberra Data Centres.

This is an important market for RSA that we will continue to invest in to provide our local customers with the very best technology and services,” RSA Australia and New Zealand identity solutions manager Craig Dore said at the time.
