Big retailer Retravision Stores has entered into an agreement to sell NEC’s PowerMate desktop and Versa notebooks starting next month.
Tim Falinski, general manager sales and marketing, NEC Computers Australia said the contract with Retravision is an extension of existing agreements to stock whitegoods and electronics products throughout Retravision stores nationwide.
“This won’t affect any other NEC reseller because these products are for Harvey Norman and Domayne are the only other outlets these consumer models can be purchased from,” said Falinski.
There are no further plans for NEC to extend it reseller list, but plans are underway to release new products through mass merchants around Christmas, Falinski added.
