Refreshed Infor channel program lifts incentives

Business software maker Infor has raised the stakes against rival Oracle with a program to lift the channel's technical smarts while offering financial backing to its resellers.

Companies signed to the Infor partner network would get better commissions, bonuses, training and certification and a market development fund to reinvest in their businesses, said Infor channels manager Jeff Abbott.

And Infor would usher in a three-tiered performance structure recognising associate, silver or gold partners. 

Abbott said the InforWorkspace appplications, built on Microsoft Sharepoint, advantaged partners. Infor said it was the result of research and development into collaborative tools for faster and easier management of business applications. 

Sam DeBone, sales executive with Infor partner Decision Resources, said the changes would grow his business and increase profits.

Founded in 2002, Infor sells financial, customer relationship management, human resources and enterprise resource planning systems.
