US-based ReFirm Labs, a vendor of internet-of-things and firmware security tools, has revealed its partner program.
This matters because Adelaide's emt Distribution signed ReFirm in April 2019.
ReFirm bills itself as “an elite team of former US Government cyber professionals with decades of experience understanding firmware vulnerabilities.” Founded in 2017, the company leads with the “Centrifuge Platform”, a tool that “proactively vets, validates and continuously monitors the security of the firmware that runs billions of Internet of Things devices, consumer electronics and other connected enterprise machines.” The tool produces an inventory of IoT devices and the software they run, matches those against lists of known bugs, then advises on what needs fixing and why.
ReFirm’s channel program has three tiers - Bronze, Silver and Gold – and offers benefits including:
- Access to a Business Development Representative (BDR) who provides customized support for any issues or technical resource requests. Gold and Silver partners are supported by the vice president of sales who assists with joint demand generation campaigns, creating co-branded collateral and executing other marketing initiatives;
- Renewals revenue for securing refreshes of annual subscriptions to the Centrifuge Platform;
- Gold partners may receive qualified prospect leads based on availability and geography.
EMT chief executive Richard Rundle said “Current security standards have not kept pace with the rapid adoption of internet-connected devices, and our partnership with ReFirm Labs allows us to introduce the benefits of their Centrifuge Platform to our channel partners and their end users in Australia and New Zealand."
“By adding IoT device and firmware security to our threat intelligence solutions, ReFirm Labs provides a key tool for improving the security of the regional supply chain.”
