Software provider Red Hat is now in the search for a new channel sales director after Colin Garro stepped down from the role.
Garro left his role with Red Hat at the end of last year, and is set to commence a new role with cloud security provider Mailguard as its global director for direct and channel sales.
Both Red Hat and Garro confirmed the move with CRN. The Red Hat spokesperson said Garro left the company on good terms and declined to comment further.
CRN has also reached out to Maliguard.
Red Hat is advertising for Garro’s replacement, seeking candidates with experience as a channel sales director.
The role will involve defining, designing and implementing a partner sales strategy to help achieve business objectives, with the expectation of faster growth than the rest of the business for Red Hat.
Garro joined Red Hat in 2012 as channel sales director after working at Microsoft Australia since 1997, where he served in various sales and consultancy roles.
